The People of the State of Illinois Plaintiff against Theodore Anderson and Jane Anderson Defendants} For Murder
And now at this day came the said People by A. McWilliams their attorney and the said Defendants in proper person and by counsel, and the said Defendants being furnished with a copy of the indictment and a list of the jurors and witnesses herein, and being arraigned for plea say that they are not guilty in manner and form as charged in said indictment and of this they put themselves upon the Country and the People do the like. And thereupon came a Jury to wit: Perry Linn, M.B. Horn, John G. Graham, Philemon Stout, William Duff, Daniel Scott, William J. Smith, William D. Logan, George Burch, William Stafford, John B. Brand, and Jack Hearman, who being elected tried and sworn after hearing the evidence and arguments of counsel for their verdict say “We the Jury find the Defendants not guilty.” It is therefore ordered and adjudged by the court that the said Defendants be discharged and go hence without delay.
